Coeburn, VA ~ James Edward Hicks, 78 passed away Friday, January 11, 2019 at Heritage Hall Health Care Center in Wise, Virginia.He was the son of the late James Hicks and the late Eva Ruth Harvey Hicks and also preceded in death by his wife, Kathaleen Edwards Hicks and son, Jason Hicks.Survivors include two daughters, Shirley Bartley, of North Carolina and Barbara Salyer, Kingsport, TN; three sisters, Debbie K. Mullins and Geraldine Hands both of Coeburn and Wanda Crumb of Ohio; 4 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for James Edward Hicks will be held on Monday, January 14, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Estes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Lawson officiating. Burial will be follow at Greenwood Acres Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Monday after 12:00 Noon until service time at Estes Funeral Home Chapel.
