Gallatin, TN ~ James "Jim" Monroe McReynolds, 75, died Tuesday, December 31, 2002 at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin, Tennessee.
Mr. McReynolds was a bluegrass musician and was half of the blue grass duo, Jim & Jesse and a member of the Grand ole Opry since 1964 also a U.S. Army veteran.
He was born in Coeburn, Virginia on Feb. 13, 1927 to Claude Matthew and Savannah Robinette McReynolds who preceded him in death. His wife, Arreta McCoy McReynolds and a sister, Stella McReynolds also preceded him in death.
Survivors include a daughter, Janeen McReynolds Allred, Gallatin, TN, a brother, Jesse McReynolds, Gallatin, TN and a half-sister, Virginia Greear, Dayton, OH and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services and burial for James "Jim" Monroe McReynolds will be held Sunday, January 5, 2003 at 2:00 P.M. at the Robinette Cemetery in the Carfax section of Coeburn with Rev. Bill Crawford officiating. Visitation will be held at Estes Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday prior to graveside services.
