James "Jim" Patrick Morency was called to his eternal loving home in the early morning hours of December 13, 2023, surrounded by his sons and wife.

Jim is survived by his loving wife Barbara Morency of fifty-five years, three sons, James Morency, Scott Morency (Susan), and Bryan Morency. Jim was blessed with seven grandchildren, Daniel Morency, Taylor Morency, Dallas Morency, James "Jimmy" Morency, Gabrielle Morency, William White, and Joseph Morency. Jim also leaves to cherish in his memory, 2 sisters and a brother, Kathy Perry, Saundra Nichols, David Morency and a special cat named Sissy.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Joseph Otis Morency, and Lillian Elizabeth Morency, brother Ronald Morency, and a host of other family members and friends who were waiting on his arrival.

Jim will always be known as a wonderful husband, great father and even greater grandfather. His love for family will withstand the test of time. He loved old cars, motorcycles and perfectly cut grass.

Final wishes will be carried out as he requested…a graveside service will be held on December 20, 2023, at 1:00pm at Greenwood Acres Cemetery, Coeburn Virginia.
