James (Jim or Fonzie) Leon Wardrup, 63, entered into his heavenly home on July 11, 2023 at Holston Valley Medical Center with his sister by his side.

Born in Lebanon, VA, he was a son of the late Clara Helen Jesse and the late Richard Wardrup.  He was also preceded in death by a brother, Melvin Wardrup.

He leaves behind to cherish is memories, a sister Barbara Freeman & David of Coeburn, VA; niece,
Brittany Howard & Bradley of Coeburn, VA. Special nieces, Kristen Salyers & husband Austin and Jaycee Salyers; Special nephew,  Jacob Salyers;  best little buddy, Gabriel; best friend Brian Hale; and a host of family & friends.

To know Jim was to love him. He was the most caring, humble and giving man. He loved to ride his scooter to town every day and attend the race every Saturday night. He never met a stranger.

Upon the wishes of Mr. Wardrup, he will be cremated. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his honor  may be made to the funeral home to assist the family with funeral expenses.
