Coeburn, VA ~ Janie Sue Pope, 62 passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, Tennessee.
She was employed by Alpha Natural Resources.
She was the daughter of the late John Neal Pope, Sr. and Lucille Love Pope. Also preceded in death by a brother Jackie Pope and a brother-in-law, Joey McCollum.
Sue is survived by her companion, Hagar Lawson; sisters, Teresa (Kenneth) Holbrook, Coeburn, Lynn Hall, and companion, David Adams, St. Paul, and Angie McCollum, Denton, NC; brothers, John Neal Pope Jr. and Paula, Archie Pope and Lisa, Robert Pope and Deanna, Harry Pope, Brian Pope, and Brandon Pope, all of Coeburn; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Janie Sue Pope will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 7:00 P.M. at Estes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Leslie Ritchie officiating. Burial will be 1:00 P.M. Sunday November 26, 2017 at Greenwood Acres Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held after 6:00 P.M. Saturday until service time. Arrangements by Estes Funeral Home, 114 High Ave., Coeburn, VA.
