Jeffrey William Akers, 63, entered into rest Sunday, January 18, 2026, at his home in Ft. Blackmore, VA. He was born December 6, 1962, in Norton, VA to the late Carlos Akers and his mother, Buretta Brickey Akers. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, fishing and hunting.

In addition to his father, Carlos, he is preceded in death by his sister, Greta Akers; nephew, Messiah; nieces, Tenille and Michelle Akers.

Left to cherish his memories are his partner of 30 years, Louada; mother, Buretta Brickey Akers; brothers, Danny Akers, and Jerry Akers (Frances); sister, Dena Akers (Danny Ray Laney); several nieces, nephews; bonus brother, Jack Salyers; his special grandson, Colt Dockery.

Funeral will be held Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at 1:00pm at Estes Funeral Home in Coeburn, VA. Burial will follow in the Akers Family Cemetery in Flatwoods Road, Coeburn, VA.

Pallbearers will be Jack Salyers, David Akers, Brandon Widener, DJ Dingus, Danny Ray Laney, Brayden Sawyer, Xavier Sawyer, Tommy Sawyer Jr., and Dakota Dorton.
