Jeraldine "Momma J" Ring, 86, of Coeburn, VA entered into rest August 1, 2024 at Norton Community Hospital.

Born October 13, 1937 in Dante, VA (Russell County) she was a daughter of the late McKinley and Ruby E. (Collins) Massie.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her daughter, Melissa Ring (Jerry Counts) of Coeburn, VA; brother, Darst Massie (Shirley) of Rogersville, TN; Grandchild, Ryder Counts and his mother, Jill Ricketts; special niece, Andrese Funk; several other nieces and nephews of whom she loved dearly.

Momma J. loved taking care of people, babysitting and had many special children throughout time, especially Jada Pettry Oakes.  She will be dearly missed by the lives she touched.

Visitation will be 12:00-1:00 PM Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at Estes Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Robert Amburgey officiating.  Committal services will be private.
