She was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church and a former employee of Coeburn Garment Factory.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin Lewis Thomas & Dorothy Mayella Thomas Hill, Henry Dean & Harry Lee Thomas, (Brothers), Frances Thomas (Sister), Sheila Diane Barron (Niece), Wallace A. Foster, Jr. (Nephew).
She is survived by companion, Robert "Bobby" Mooney, Coeburn, 1 daughter, Patricia "Penny" Little, Coeburn, 1 son, Joseph "Little Joe" Freeman, Morristown, TN, 1 son-in-law, Boyce Little, Coeburn, 1 daughter-in-law, Anna Freeman, Morristown, TN, 3 sisters, Janie Barron, Manhattan, NY, Dorothy Gray, Lexington, KY & Joe Ann Foster, Hampton, VA, 3 brothers, Melvin Thomas, Manhattan, NY, Norman "Ninie" Thomas, Coeburn & Garland "Bond" Thomas, Cleveland, OH, a special niece, Whitney Mooney, Coeburn, 7 Grandchildren,3 Great Grandchildren,several nephews,several nieces.
Funeral services for Jeraldine Eugena Thomas Freeman will be held Monday, August 28, 2000 at 1:00 P.M. at Estes Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Eddie Mabrey and Rev. Isiah Noaks will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Clinch River Bapt. Assoc. Cemetery in Coeburn. Visitation will be held at Estes Funeral Home on Sunday after 6:00 P.M.
