Formerly of Coeburn, VA

John Wilson Cloud, 89, of Huron, OH, formerly of Toms Creek, Coeburn, VA, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, September 19, 2022. After school he enlisted in the United States Army where he served in the Korean war 1953-1955. Returning home, John loved to garden and enjoyed canning their harvest with his wife Wilma. He worked until he retired at Ford Motor Company in Lorain, OH. He enjoyed hunting small game, his walks in nature, his western movies, trips to the flea market and his suppers of Half Runner Beans and Cornbread.

John is preceded in death by his wife Wilma Cloud; parents, John and Ida (Phillips) Cloud; sister, Ruby Hill; and brother-in-law, Kenneth Hill.

He leaves behind his daughter, Nancy Cloud of Huron, OH; sisters, Shirley Adkins of Continental, OH, and Rita Cloud of Coeburn, VA; several nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, September 24, 2022, from 10a.m. to 11a.m. at Estes Funeral Home in Coeburn, VA. Service will follow at 11p.m. with Pastor Nolan Stanley officiating. Military Rite graveside service will be 2p.m. at Temple Hill Memorial Gardens in Castlewood, VA with US Army Honors Team and Local VFW Post.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in John's honor to the charity of one's choice.
