John Fitzgerald Koontz, 59, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2025 at Norton Community Hospital.

He was born on January 6, 1965, a son of the late Paul and Viola (Vanover) Koontz. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his brother, Thurman Koontz. He was an auto mechanic during his working career.

Surviving are his son, Jonathan Bowen and Sheynia Tucker; daughters, Brittany Lorenzo and David Lorenzo, Sheena Pennington and Shawn Pennington; grandchildren, Chloe Koontz, Jeremiah Koontz, Leighton Koontz, Temperance Koontz, Cameron Lorenzo, Mariana Lorenzo, Willow Pennington and Noel Pennington; 1 niece and 1 nephew.
