Coeburn, VA ~ Joseph Franklin Hill, 78 passed away Monday, July 8, 2013 at Johnson City Medical Center in Johnson City Tennessee.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
He was the son of the late Lewis Franklin and Oakley Leah Hill; Also preceeded in death by his wife, Frances (Macnicol) Hill; four sisters, Delma Greene, Stella Hall, Gloria Neuman and Trula Bell; a brother, Benny R. Hill.
Survivors include four daughters, Debra L. Miller, Richmond, VA, Iris L. Pate, Shacklesford, VA, Laura A. Sunday, Haymarket, VA and Lisa L. Hill, Alexanderia, VA; three sons, Lewis F. Hill, Baltimore, MD, Russell W. Hill and Donald E. Hill, both of Coeburn; three sisters, Edna Nixon, Coeburn, Thelma Culves, Macon, GA and Mary Kern, Grandville, WV; Special friend, Janet Sue Mills; several grandchildren, several great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Joseph Franklin Hill will be held on Wednesday July 10, 2013 after 5:00 P.M. at Estes Funeral Home Chapel and Funeral services will be held at 7:00 P.M. with Rev. Johnny Adkins officiating. Burial will be 11 A.M. Thursday, July 11, 2013 at Greenwood Memorial Gardens. Military graveside rites will be furnished by Coeburn VFW. Arrangements by Estes Funeral Home, 114 High Ave., Coeburn, VA.
