In Memory of Judy Carol Ball Call

November 21, 1946 - July 1, 2023

Judy Carol Call, 78, of Coeburn, VA entered into rest Saturday, July 1, 2023, at Heritage Hall Nursing in Big Stone Gap, VA. She was born in Coeburn, VA, November 21, 1946, to the late Harvey E. and Dorothy Gibson Ball.

Judy lived in Riverview area of Coeburn, where she graduated high school and attended Clinch Valley College. She loved horses and riding them. She was in the Coeburn Blue Knight Band. Judy had represented Coeburn as Ms. Coeburn. Later she worked as a teacher's assistant and loved her children. She also worked at Don Kenny / Buster Brown Sewing Factory and provided child care in her home.

Judy and Ray met in 1965 on Cherokee Lake while camping with several families from Coeburn. They later married and their love grew. She loved the area lakes, where they continued to camp and boat until health issues made it impossible.  She was past secretary and former member of Coeburn Eastern Star and currently maintained her membership at Dungannon Eastern Star. Judy was a member of Stone Mountain Pentecostal with David and Sue Duval as pastors, were she professed her faith in Jesus Christ as her personal Savior.

After a lengthy health Issue, she crossed over Jordan to meet her Lord and Savior on July 1, 2023.

Surviving are, her loving husband of 58 years, Raymond Dawson Call; son, Raymond Dawson Call III (Tooter); grandchildren, Taylor, Megan and Haley; great-grandchildren, Addi and Azzi Hall; brother, Jerry Ball and wife Cathy; brother-in-law, Gary Call; sister-in-law, Susan Call-Baker and husband, Danny; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Jonathan Tickles; and many foster children.

Visitation will be 12:00-1:00 PM, Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at Estes Funeral Home in Coeburn, VA.  Funeral Service will be conducted  at 1:00 PM Wednesday, in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Marty Puckett and Darrell Bolling officiating.  Burial will follow at Greenwood Acres Cemetery

Judy, we will miss you and your love and sunshine you so freely shared with all you came in contact with.

The family would like to thank all the caretakers at Norton Community Hospital and Heritage Hall in Big Stone Gap, VA for all their love and care.
