Castlewood, VA- Karissa Jean Keene

Karissa Jean Keene, age 29, passed into Eternal peace at Fry Medical Hospital in Hickory N.C.  Karissa  gave the ultimate gift by being an Organ Donor.

Karissa was born special, she was unique and special just the way God made her with earthly limitations of Down Syndrome. However, Karissa never allowed her earthly disability to affect her spiritual walk. She Loved God and singing for the Lord, attending over 25 bible camps in one summer as a youth. She will be sorely missed by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents,  Leonard A Keene and Wilma J. Keene; paternal grandparents, Ballard "Duke" Dalton and Ivanell Colly Dalton.

Left to cherish her memory: parents, Johnny and Tamara Dalton; brother, Zachery Dalton;  uncle, Leonard Keene; aunt, Jakegail Hale; special friends, Kathy Vance and Connie White; several other close relatives and friends.

Visitation will be 12:00 -1:00 PM  Friday, August 4, 2023 at Estes Funeral Home with graveside funeral services immediately following at Riverside Cemetery in East Stone Gap, VA with Donny Musick officiating.
