Katherine Buchanan Stallard, 75, of Coeburn, VA entered into her Heavenly home on March 22, 2024, at her residence after a brief illness. Born in Wise County, VA, she was a daughter of Edison and Pauline Hall Buchanan. She was a graduate of St Paul High School and Clinch Valley College.  She retired from the University of Virginia's College at Wise. She had served as Vice President of Twinleaf Society and was very active and attended most events if not all.

Survivors include her husband, Harold Stallard of the home; sons, Brandon Stallard and wife Misty and their children, Mali and Elli all of Surf City, NC; Eric Stallard and wife Sarah and their children, McKenzie, Riley, Wynne, Millie and Ruby Anne, all of Jonesville, VA; sisters, Deborah Ann Quinn and husband Daniel of Millis, MA; Sharon Duty and husband Thomas of Hansonville, VA.

Visitation will be Tuesday, 12:00 - 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at Estes Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Rob Haynes officiating.  Interment will follow at Greenwood Acres Cemetery in Coeburn, VA.
