Kathy Mae (Hamilton) McCoy, 70, passed away on Monday, April 4, 2022, at her residence in Coeburn, Virginia.

Kathy was born August 12, 1951, to the late James Walter and Bonnie Mae (Meade) Hamilton. Kathy was a graduate of St. Paul High School, class of 1969. She loved her children and her grandchildren and loved to cook for them. Her grandbabies favorites were "Nana fries" and "Krabby Patties."

In addition to her parents, Kathy was preceded in death by her husband, Danny McCoy; Daughter, Candi McCoy; sister, Penny Sparks; brothers, Dale Hamilton, and Eddie Hamilton.

She is survived by her daughters, Tina McCoy and Husband Mark of Coeburn, Brandi Deel and husband Jeremy of Nickelsville; grandchildren, Dylan Mccoy and wife Kayla of Coeburn, Austin Mccoy and wife Emily of Coeburn, Emma Deel, and Eli Deel both of Nickelsville; great grandchildren, Brantley McCoy, and Baby Emberley McCoy due in July; special nephew, Brandon Sparks, and special niece, Amy Browning; Special friend and neighbor, Patty Campbell; along with several other close relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Estes Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Stacy Vanover officiating. Graveside services will be held Thursday, April 7, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. in the McClellan-Meade Cemetery, Coeburn, VA. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home by 12:30 p.m. to go in procession to the cemetery.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
