Larry Hurd, 71, of Coeburn, VA, entered into rest Sunday, December 1, 2024, after a brief illness at Norton Community Hospital in Norton, VA. He was born October 28, 1953 in Castlewood, VA.

Larry Joe is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Gladys Hurd; brothers, Dewey, George "POS", Walter "Blue", David, and  Darrell; sister, Josie; and a granddaughter, Mackenzie.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories his brother, Carlos Hurd and wife, Brenda of Christiansburg, VA; his wife of 24 years, Debra Hurd of Coeburn, VA; daughters, Heather Mullins and husband, Shawn of Bristol, VA and Sierra Hurd of the home; sons, Dylan Hurd of the home, and Christopher Hurd and wife, Nichole of Coeburn, VA; 7 grandchildren with another precious one on the way, and many extended family and friends.

Larry enjoyed watching wrestling, playing with his children and grandchildren, and talking to his friends, especially his best friend Greg Wireman.

Family will receive friends Thursday, December 5, 2024, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Estes Funeral Home in Coeburn, VA. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm with Rev. Douglas M. Smith officiating. Graveside will follow in Greenwood Acres cemetery in Coeburn, VA.

His son-in-law, Shawn Mullins will serve as honorable pallbearer along with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
