Wise, VA ~ Lena Margaret Suggs, 74, went to be in the arms of Jesus, March 27, 2004 at Bon Secour St. Mary's Hospital in Norton, Virginia.
Mrs. Suggs was born in Jenkins, Ky. On November 16, 1929, but grew up on Indian Creek, Pound, Va. Lena later moved to Troy, Michigan and was the owner of a dress shop named, "Lena of Troy".
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. William Preston Suggs, and Sarah Jane Riner and sister, Ada Suggs.
Survivors include 2 sisters, Aldine Whittaker, Alexandria, VA and Yvonne Suggs Bolling, Wise, VA; 2 brothers, Bishop Roy A. Suggs, Belton, S.C. and Coy Suggs, Greeley, CO; several nephews and several nieces.

Viewing and funeral services for Lena Margaret Suggs will be held Monday, March 29, 2004 at 6:00 P.M. in Estes Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Roy A. Suggs officiating. Burial and graveside committal will be at her grandfather's graveyard, the Johnny Jessee Riner Cemetery on Indian Creek in Pound, Va. at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 30, 2004.
