Coeburn, VA ~ Lillian "Granny" Culbertson Young, 92, passed away Thursday, July 29, 2010 at Bristol Regional Medical Center in Bristol Tennessee.
She was a member of Community Freewill Baptist Church and attended MEOC Coeburn Site.
She was the daughter of the late Lee Culbertson and Bessie Mae Culbertson; also preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Young; four sisters, Faye J. Beverly, Mildred L. Bartley, Hazel B. Cassell and Dollie Mae Culbertson; sevenbrothers, Joseph Ervin Culbertson, Carl Culbertson, Bill Culbertson, Leon Culbertson, Jerry Culbertson, Ernest Culbertson and Fred Culbertson; Son-in-law, Quentin R. McCoy.
Survived by daughters Freida McCoy, Coeburn, VA; Margaret Thompson, and husband Howard, Denton, NC; Son, Ellis "Doc" Young, and wife Jewell, Coeburn, one brother, Kyle Culbertson, Coeburn, VA; six grandsons, Tim and Missy, Kingsport, Terry and Tracy McCoy, Seymour, TN, Johnny & Angie Thompson, Joe Thompson, Jeff & Amber Thompson, all of NC, David & Tina Young, Radford, VA; great grandchildren Mason, Bailey & Chloe McCoy, Kodey, Aaron, Dillon, Courtney, Cameron, Jeffery, Jr. Kara and Juliana Thompson, James Robert Balock and Jeremy Byerly, Katie Graves, Nora and Connor Young; Several nieces, nephews, friends and church family.

Funeral services for Lillian Young will be held on Sunday August 1, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Estes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wayne Perry officiating. Burial will follow in Laurel Grove Cemetery, Norton, VA. Visitation will be held Saturday after 5:00 P.M. at Estes Funeral Home and anytime at the home of Doc and Jewell.
