Linda Sue "Susie" Lawson Linkous, 78, of Wise, Virginia, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2025. Born on December 16, 1946, Linda lived a life marked by quiet strength, deep faith, and a steadfast love for her family and community.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and teacher, Susie was preceded in death by her parents, Lucille and Clinton Lawson; her brother, Clint Lawson; her beloved daughter, Rebekah Linkous. She is survived by her loving husband, Frank Linkous; her brother, Ron Lawson; and her cherished granddaughter, Sydney Linkous.

Susie was a lifelong member of Mary's Chapel Church in Coeburn, where her gentle spirit and enduring faith were evident to all who knew her. She dedicated much of her life to teaching in Hopewell, at Wise Primary School, and Addington Middle before working in a teacher training program at Coeburn Middle School. She touched countless lives with patience, compassion, and wisdom.

A graveside service will be held to honor and remember Susie on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Greenwood Acres. All who loved her are invited to meet at Greenwood Acres and celebrate her life and legacy. Linda's kindness, strength, and unwavering love will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
