Linda (McCowan) Greene – Coeburn, VA

Linda Elleen (McCowan) Greene, 82, Coeburn, VA passed away, Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at her residence.

Linda was born in Coeburn, VA on July 20, 1942, and was the daughter of the late Elbert and Pearl (Rose) McCowan.

In addition to her parents, her husband, Jimmy Wayne Greene, Sr., son Jimmy Wayne Greene, Jr., and daughter, Ramona Greene Smith preceded her in death.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Pamela Greene Richardson and Chris Whitaker; grandchildren, Joshua Logan Lawson, Logan Patrick Richardson, Michael Hill, and Kristen Sotelo; great-grandchildren, River Elijah and Wilder Benjamin Lawson, and Victor, Wayne, and Hope Sotelo; sister, Carolyn (Bill) French; brother, Neal (Susie) McCowan, along with several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m to 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Estes Funeral Home. Funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Estes Funeral Home with Father Emmanuel officiating. Burial will follow in the Greene Cemetery on Carter Stanley Highway, Coeburn, VA.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
