Coeburn, VA ~ Martha Mary Morrone Freeman, 86 died Friday, January 8, 2010 at her residence in Coeburn, Virginia.
Mrs. Freeman was a member of Pippin Chapel Church and a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII. She was born in Johnstown, PA and lived most of her life in Dickenson and Wise County Virginia.
She was the daughter of the late Nunizo V. Morrone and Angline Di Ambrose Marrone. Also, preceded in death by her husband, Troy O. Freeman, Sr.; one son, Jerry Freeman;one brother, Sam Marrone; two sisters, Lena Ritchick and Vera Zywicki, 2 grandsons and 2 great granddaughters.
Survivors include by two sons, Troy O. Freeman Jr and wife, Linda, Coeburn and Terry Freeman and wife, Jonnie Gail, Blountville, TN; daughters, Sharon Hale, and husband, Allen Wayne, Coeburn, Mattie Cain, and husband, Roy, Kingsport, TN, Helen Artrip, and husband, Michael, Vale, NC, and Virginia Freeman, Palm City, FL; 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Martha Mary Freeman will be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Estes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Nolan Stanley officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Community Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 12, 2010 after 5:00 P.M. at Estes Funeral Home. We wish to thank Hospice for their care and concern of our mother, Patsy, Frieda and Lisa were really Loving and caring. Also we wish to thank the people at dialysis for their love and concern of our mother. Pound VFW Post 9600 will furnish military graveside rites.
