Martha Louise Hill- Coeburn, VA

Martha Louise Hill, age 58, passed away suddenly on Friday, December 26, 2025, at Norton Community Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

Martha was a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother. Her life was defined by her deep love for her family, whom she treasured above all else. She will be remembered for her caring heart, strength, and the warmth she shared with everyone who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Virgil Lawson, and her mother, Nancy Lawson.

Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband, Michael Hill Sr., of the home; her sons, Michael Hill Jr. and wife Kathy, Adam Hill, and Dalton Hill, all of Coeburn; her grandchildren, Kaylee, Emily, Caleb, and Noah Hill; honorary grandchildren, Alithyia Jessee, Brantlee Mullins, and Bryland Mullins; her father, Roger Lawson; siblings, Elizabeth Owens and husband Thomas of Whitmire, South Carolina, Karen Collins and husband Tim of Newberry, South Carolina, and Barney Lawson of Coeburn; half-siblings, Joe, Cory, Curt, Nathan, and Verna Lawson, all of Coeburn; along with several nieces, nephews, close relatives, and friends.

The family will receive friends on Monday, December 29, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Estes Funeral Home in Coeburn.

A funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Mike Lawson officiating. Special music will be provided by Estes Funeral Home.

A committal service will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Sparks Cemetery (Sparks Cemetery Road, Coeburn, Virginia). Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at Estes Funeral Home at 12:30 p.m. to go in procession to the cemetery.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
