Coeburn, VA ~ Martha Ellen Stanley, 102, died Wednesday, August 29, 2001 at her residence in Coeburn.
Mrs. Stanley was a native of Dickenson County and a member of Rachael's Chapel.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dewey, her parents, Ruben, and Florida Rose, 2 sons, Junior Stanley& Hershel Stanley; 1 daughter, Ava Honaker.
Survivors include 3 daughters, Mary Hughes, Josie Kennedy and Mae Marshall all of Coeburn; 3 sons, Carlos Stanley, Castlewood, VA, Darrel Stanley, Fairfax, VA and James Stanley, Mt. Juliet, TN; a very special friend & caregiver, Martha Adkins; special friend, Tammy Maine; 35 Grandchildren, several great grandchildren, several nephews, several nieces.
Funeral services for Martha Ellen Stanley will be held Saturday, Sept. 1, 2001 at 1:00 P.M. at Estes Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Bob Mullins Burial will follow in the Greenwood Memorial Gardens in Coeburn.Visitation will be held at Estes Funeral Home on Friday after 6:00 P.M.
