Marty Clayton Sexton – Coeburn, VA
Marty Clayton Sexton, 50, Coeburn, VA passed away, Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his family. Marty was born in Kingsport, TN, on March 27, 1974, and was the son of the late Patricia (Sexton) Begley.
Marty was a jack of all trades and most of all he was a friend to many. Marty had a heart of Gold and got out in the middle of winter to help people get their wood, got in flood water just to save his friends camper one year, and he would help people all the time.
In addition to his mother, maternal grandparents, Marshall and Audrey Sexton, father-in-law, Neal Rose, and a special cousin, Anthony "Huck" Lane preceded him in death.
Marty is survived by his loving companion, Victoria; daughters, Shaunna Collins and husband, Mikie and Savannah Hall and husband, Zackery; brother, Joey Begley and wife, Jennifer; sister, Amanda Dorton; grandchildren, Clayton Marshall Collins, Kaiden Cole Collins, Preston Ryder Collins, and Heidi Jolene Hall; mother-in-law, June Williams and husband, Cheyanne; brother-in-law, Anthony Rose; special nephew, Joseph Martin, along with several other nieces and nephews, special friend, Danny Ray Laney, and his fur baby, Rocky.
The family will receive friends from Friday, March 21, 2025, from 5-7 p.m. at Estes Funeral Home in Coeburn, VA. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m., in the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Jimmy Darnell and Rev. Danny Darnell officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, March 22, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in the Sexton Family Cemetery, Coeburn, VA. Michael Ray Collins, Zachery Hall, Anthony Rose, Clayton Collins, Joey Begley and Kenneth Begley will serve as pallbearers. Danny Ray Laney, Shaunna Collins, Clayton Collins, Glen Nickels, Homer Sexton, David Sexton, Ryan Dooley, Brandon Summey and Elmer Sexton will serve as honorary pallbearers.
