Coeburn, VA ~ Mary Rose Lawson, 93 passed away Sunday, January 12, 2014 at Brookhaven Manor in Kingsport Tennessee.
She was a member of Mary's Chapel Church, homemaker, caregiver and a teacher aid for Wise County Schools.
Mary was the daughter of Ernest H. and Martha Pluma Doughtery Ramey; she was also preceded in death by her first husband, Rev. James Rose and her second husband, James C. "Beeb" Lawson; sisters, Edith Ramey, Nita Robbins Kilgore and Delores Eloise Fiedman; brother, Joe Ernest Ramey, Sr.; son-in-law, Carlton Guertler.
She is survived by one daughter, Marilynn Rose Guertler, Cincinnati, OH; four sons, Nick R. Rose, and wife, Franja, Blountville, TN, James E. Rose, and wife Pam, Coeburn, David B. Rose, and wife, Cheri Caribou, Maine and Paul M. Rose, and wife Rhoda, Panama City, FL; three sisters, June Wolfe, Kingsport, TN, Fay R. Miller, Lexington, NC and Nancy Ahearn, Warrenton, VA; several wonderful grandchildren, several great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Mary Rose Lawson will be held after 6:00 PM Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2014 at Estes Funeral Home Chapel and funeral services will be held at 8:00 PM with Rev. Les Ritchie and Rev. Marty Puckett officiating. Burial will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014 at the Ramey Cemetery in Coeburn. Estes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
