Mary Jane Powell, 74, of Coeburn, VA, passed away on November 26, 2023.  She was born on July 21, 1949.  At the time of her death Mary was in the care of R&S Helping Hands, where she had resided for 19 years.

Mary was a sweet and caring soul, who never had a bad thing to say about anyone.  Mary was such a great person and no one could ever dim her light.  She loved everyone and wanted to get to know everyone for who they truly were.  Mary was honestly one of a kind.

In her free time, Mary enjoyed indulging in her hobbies.  She had a passion for shopping and eating out, always seeking new experiences and trying new cuisines.  Additionally, she had a love for mathematics, finding joy in solving problems and exploring the world of numbers.  Mary also had her own way of doing things and wanted them done her way.  Mary loved spending time outside and enjoying the sun on her skin and the breeze in her hair.  Mary loved to spend time crafting and working on her scrapbook.  Mary cherished spending time with her friends, creating memories and sharing laughter together.

Mary will be deeply missed by her loved ones and all those whose lives she touched.  May her gentle spirit and kind heart be remembered forever.  We love you, Mary.

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 29, 2023 11:30 am – Noon.  Services will be conducted at Noon in the Estes Funeral Home Chapel with committal to follow in Powell Valley Memorial Garden.
