Michael Wayne Carico, 61, entered into rest Monday, May 22, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born April 21, 1962, in Dante, VA. Michael was a pipefitter and a member of Pipefitters Union Local  538.

Michael is preceded in death by his grandparents, Bill and Alma Carico, and Noah and Eliza Meade; aunt, Gladys Carico; and father-in-law, Jerry Barnes.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife, Marcie Carico of the home; daughter, Chyna Gray and husband, Matthew of Bristol, VA; son, Zackery Carico and wife, Chasity of St. Paul, VA; mother, Dorothy Couch and Step-father, Roy Couch of Lebanon, VA; father, Harry Carico; brothers, Scott Carico and Richie Carico both of Abingdon, VA; Kaycee Keith, whom was like a daughter to him;  special nephew, Mathew Carico; special cousin, Randy Carico;  grandchildren, Chelsie and Jerry; special friends, Fredia Ervin and Sam Anderson; several nephews, nieces, and a host of extended family and friends.

A special thank you to the St. Paul Police department for their thoughtfulness and assistance to the family, Buzz Witt for the help and hospitality and MSA Hospice care for all their care.

Upon the wishes of Mr. Carico, he will be cremated. Donations can be made to the funeral home in his honor to help the family with their expenses.
