MSgt. Allan Adams

MSgt Allan Adams (Ret), 85, went Home to be with the Lord and family, Monday, January 24, 2022.

He was born in Coeburn, VA on July 1, 1936, and was the son of the late Samuel and Annie Adams.

Mr. Adams was a veteran of the United States Air Force, retiring as MSgt. with over 23 years of service. He continued to work after his retirement taking care of his family and friends, while running a small business.

He enjoyed life to the fullest, never meeting a stranger.

In addition to his parents, his loving wife, Marie Rea Adams; brothers, Author, Oscar, Floyd, and Jessee; and sisters, Edith Brickey and Ona Pearman preceded him in death.

He is survived by his daughter, Sonya Lackey and husband, Daryl, and grandson, Sean Lackey and wife, Emily, all of Hahira, GA.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 29, 2022, at Estes Funeral Home with funeral services following at 2:00 p.m., with Military Rites conducted by the Shaw Air Force Base Honors Team.

Private Graveside services will be conducted in the Greenwood Acres, Coeburn, VA.
