Naida Ruth Stansberry McConnell, 89, entered into rest on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at her son's home, surrounded by her loving family. Born on May 28, 1937, in Coeburn, VA, to the late Mance and Elizabeth Stansberry, Naida was a devoted homemaker, mother, wife, and grandmother. She was married to Kyle "Bud" McConnell.

Naida was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Kyle; her children, Kyle Eugene McConnell and Patrick Joseph McConnell; her sisters, Evelyn Hamilton and Sonia Torres, and her brothers, Maynard Stansberry and Robert "Bobby" Stansberry.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories her daughters, Donna McFadden (Daniel) and Gina Grizzle (Richard); her sons, Ricky McConnell (Patsy) and Michael McConnell (Anninita); her sister, Carla Smallwood (Robert "Bob"); as well as 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, along with several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

In accordance with her wishes, all services will be private, and she will be laid to rest in Greenwood Memorial Cemetery, Coeburn, VA, beside her husband.
