Nora Lee Green, 58, of Coeburn, VA went to her eternal resting place on January 1, 2024.  She was born on January 26, 1965 in Columbus, GA, and resided in Coeburn most of her life.

To her family she was known as Sissy, and to most of her friends she was Cookie.  She worked 20 plus years for the Wise Co. Convenient Center in Flatwoods.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, and loving daughter.  She had a contagious smile and the bluest eyes like the sky.  Nora loved riding around and taking pictures of beautiful sunrises and sunsets.  She was a friend to all and never met a stranger.

Nora is proceeded in death by her father Carl Blackburn, and her companion James Morrison.

She leaves behind her daughter Nicole, son-in-law Jackie Sluss.  Her mother Celestine Levola Blackburn, her granddaughter and pride and joy Sammie Jo Sluss, grandsons Drew (Montana) Sluss, Brody (Ashley) Robinson, Evan Sluss, and sister Michelle Gutierrez and 1 brother.

She also leaves behind great-granddaughter Aria Robinson and great grand-son Asher Sluss.  Several nieces, and nephews and a host of special friends and extended family and her special kitty, Ralph.  The family would like to send a special thanks to her friend Amanda for being there for Nora and family.

Nora will be missed by so many.  Her mother, Celestine, Nicole and Sammie will deeply miss her.

Its not good-bye Mom, but see you later.

We love you to the moon and back.

Memorial services will be held at the Estes Funeral Home chapel, on Friday, January 12, 2024 at 5 pm.
