Opal Carico Ring, 90, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at Holston Valley Medical Center. She was of the Baptist faith and a lifelong resident of Sandy Ridge. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She touched the lives of so many and had a giving heart. She will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her husband Noal Ring, her parents Hattie and Melvin Carico; and several brothers and sisters.

Surviving are one son, Gary Ring and wife Tammy; four grandchildren, Missy Ring (Neal Smith), Amy Bright (Kevin), Keith Whited and Kelli Whited; seven great-grandchildren, Tyler Bright, Ean Bright, Kyndall Smith, Grayson Whited, Garrett Whited, Anna Whited, and Alex Odle; one sister Daisy Mitchell.

Graveside services for Opal will be conducted at 2:00 P.M on Monday, January 11, 2021 at the Ring Cemetery on Sandy Ridge with the Rev. Leslie Ritchie officiating. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Grayson Whited, Garrett Whited, Tyler Bright, Ean Bright, Kevin Bright and Alex Odle.

Estes Funeral Home will be serving the Ring family.
