Orbie Glen Mullins

Orbie Glen Mullins, age 67, of Dante, Virginia, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee, surrounded by his loving family.

Glen was born in Dante, Virginia, the son of the late Cecil and Omie Mullins. He was one of four children.

Glen was a carpenter by trade and worked in construction throughout his life. He truly enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He found joy in the simple things in life, including playing music and spending time with his loved ones. Glen will be remembered for the love he shared with his family and friends and for the many memories he made throughout his life.

In addition to his parents, Glen was preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Joe Mullins.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Sissy Mullins, of the home; his children, Steven Mullins, Mary Woods and husband Mike, Fudge Birtchfield Jr., and Jesse Hutchinson and husband Curtis; his grandchildren, Denise Mullins, Steven Mullins Jr., and Sean Hutchinson; his brother, Roger Mullins; his sister, Stella Helton; special nephew, Cecil Mullins and wife Serena; special friends, Tony and Kitty Mullins; along with other close relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends on Friday, September 18, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Estes Funeral Home in Coeburn, Virginia. (114 High Ave. NE, Coeburn, VA 24230)

A funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. following the visitation in the chapel of Estes Funeral Home, with Pastors David Hall and Danny Meade officiating. Special music will be provided by Serena Mullins and Estes Funeral Home.

A memorial video is being created for the family by Estes Funeral Home and will be updated once completed.
