Patricia A. Lane, 66, went home to be with Jesus on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 after a lengthy illness surrounded by her family.

She was born on April 23, 1958 in Wise, Virginia to the late Claude and Dollie Mays. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 24 years, Glen A. Lane, Sr; sisters, Lois Lawson, Mary Lawson, Betty Lane, Viola Harvey, and Frieda Mays; brothers, Douglas Mays and Jerry Mays.

She is survived by her children, Glen A. Lane, Jr (Amanda) of Wise, VA, Stephanie M. Robinson (Todd) of Abingdon, VA; grandchildren, Zachary, Abbie, Emily and Jacob Robinson, Adrianna Lane, Salona Diaz Imperial, Christian, Cameron, Bryson and Khloe Clark; sisters, Eula Holbrook and Kathy Clark (her caregivers), and Zella Graham (Tony); brothers, Darrell Mays, Bobby Mays (Judy), and Ricky Mays (Rhonda); Several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

We would like to thank her caregivers, MEOC/PACE Staff and friends, Debbie Meade, Debbie Shelton, Joyce Barr, Amy Hill, Tiffany Hill and Susan Pharoan.

Patricia was a Christian who loved going to church, playing piano, going shopping with her sisters, Viola & Eula, working crossword puzzles and watching TV (especially Andy Griffith so she could fuss at Barney).  She was a loving mother, grandmother, friend and sister.

She worked at Buster Brown Sewing Factory, then later at Norton Community Hospital where she worked as a switchboard operator until she retired.

Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 PM Friday, February 28, 2025 at Estes Funeral Home with funeral services following in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Mike Lawson officiating and special singing by Holly Blevins. Graveside services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Greenwood Cemetery. Those attending the graveside service are asked to meet at the funeral home at 12:30 PM for procession to the cemetery.  Jonathan Mays, Brian Clark, Tony Graham, A.J. Harvey, Keith Harvey and Glen Lane, Jr. will serve as pallbearers.
