Coeburn, VA ~ Paul Daniel Carico, Sr., 78 loving husband and father passed away Sunday, January 29, 2006.
After graduating Coeburn High School Mr. Carico received a BS degree from Milligan College. He received his Masters' Degree from East Tennessee State University.
Mr. Carico was a retired employee of Virginia Department of Corrections where he was the Chief Parole Officer for District 18.
He was a member of Coeburn United Methodist Church, former member and past president of Coeburn Kiwanis Club and a supporter of various other projects in Coeburn and Wise County.
Mr. Carico was a U.S. Army Veteran and served his country in the Korean War.
He was the son of the late William Nathaniel Carico and Allie Barrett Horne Carico.
Survivors include wife, Lucille Carter Carico; Daughter and husband Kathy Musick and husband Lynn of Gate City, VA; sons and daughters-in-law, Paul Daniel "Danny" Carico Jr. and wife, Della of Morristown, TN and David Carico and wife Rebecca of Johnson City, TN; Grandchildren Lauren, Lindsey, Kaitlyn, Katie, Allie, Ashley, Tim, Chelsey, Nathaniel and Chloe; Several nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Paul Carico, Sr. will be from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M at Coeburn United Methodist Church with funeral services at 8:00 PM. with Rev. Pete Perdue and Bill Carico officiating. Burial will be in Laurel Grove Cemetery in Norton, VA on Wednesday, February 1, 2006. The family will meet at the church at 11:00 A.M. and proceed to the cemetery in procession.
