Randy Ray Skeens age 65, left this earthly life to join his parents in their heavenly home on July 5, 2023 at Norton Community Hospital.
Randy was born in Norton, Virginia the son of the late Samuel Skeens and Mary Fannon Skeens, he was one of two children.
He joined the United States Army where he served the country honorable in the 101st Airborne Division. He was a proud member of the D.A.V. and the local American Legion. Randy was a loving husband, Brother, Dad and Friend. His love for his family was indescribable, he was a devoted provider and protector. He was married to the love of his life Lanetta for 33 years. Their marriage produced his "Whole World" his only daughter Katelyn. Randy was a truck driver. His last act of selflessness was becoming an Organ Donor. He will be deeply missed by his famiy and friends.
In addition to his parents, his maternal and paternal grandparents preceded in him in death.
Left to cherish his memory are wife Lanetta Skeens of the Home, Katelyn Rae Skeens (Matt) of Coeburn, Step -son Anthony Mullins of Duffield, Joshua Horne of Coeburn, step -daughter Amanda Taylor of Duffield, brother Scotty Skeens (Debbie) of Coeburn, three grandchildren, other close relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends on Sunday July, 9, 2023 from 5:00- 7:00 p.m. at Estes Funeral Home in Coeburn for the visitation. The funeral Service will be conducted following in the funeral home's chapel with R. L. Crawford officiating.
The Graveside committal service will be held on Monday, July 10, 2023 in the Kilgore Cemetery (Banner Section of Coeburn) at 11:00 a.m. those wishing to attend are asked to meet at Estes at 10:30 to travel in procession to the cemetery. The local V.F.W. and D.A.V. will conduct Military Rites.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
