Coeburn, VA ~ Rita Carol Adkins, 50, passed away October 5, 2008 at Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport after a struggling with a long illness.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Charles Logan Dooley and Shirley Jean Dooley Thacker. One brother, Randy Scott Dooley and one sister, Marie Dooley.
She is survived by her husband, David Keith Adkins, Coeburn; three sons, Roger Dale Wilson and wife Shonna, Ricky Dan Wilson and Christy, David Keith Adkins, Jr. and wife Cora; two daughters, Rita Marie Bailey and husband Scott, Bristol TN and Misty Dawn Wilson, of the home; one brother, Jimmy Walter Dooley, Surgoinsville, TN; five sisters, Martha Hale, Coeburn, Diane Stwatzell and Betty Jean Carpenter, both of Surgoinsville, Frances Dooley and Judy Dooley, both of Dover, Delaware; Nine gandchildren, Chantry Gage Powers, Roger Blake Wilson, Alexeus Carol Bailey, Brandon Lee Wilson, Emma Danielle Wilson, Carol Lynn Adkins, Chase Allen Bailey, Corrina Emma Yvonne Adkins, Haley Desiree Wilson; four nephews, Dennis Adkins, Brad Adkins, Tylerand Casey; also 2 nephews and 1 neice of Surgoinsville; and her loving dog Gizmo.
The family wants to send a special "Thank You" to everyone who said a prayer or helped out in any way with the passing of our loving mother, sister, grandmother and aunt and God Bless.
Memorial services will be held at the Pine Grove Church on Caney Ridge on Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at 5:30 P.M. Graveside Services will be held at the Sluss Cemetery in Dungannon. Estes Funeral Home is in charge.
