Robert Ray "Bobby" Vanover, age 62, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at his residence.

Bobby was born on May 30, 1960, to the late Henry Eugene and Shelby Joyce (Herron) Vanover. He spent his career working in construction. Bobby will be deeply missed by all those who knew him.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Doug, and Darren Vanover; nephew, Teddy Vanover, sister-in-law, Brenda Rose; maternal grandparents, Ernest, and Doris Herron; paternal grandparents, Walter Ray, and Minnie Vanover.

Bobby is survived by his daughters, Holly Vanover of Kingsport, TN, Jennifer Vanover of Norton, VA, and Kiana (Jamze) Robson of Tazwell, TN; grandchildren, Josh Vance, Desirae Vance, Brittany Vance, and Harlie Crawford; the mother of his children, Kathy Vaughn of Norton, VA; sisters, Letha Bentley of Wise, Zonna Osborne of Duffield, and Rebecca Vanover of Norton; special friends, Landon and Jude Davis, Evan (Junkie) Stapleton, and David Yates; along with several nieces, nephews, close relatives, and friends.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Estes Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow in the Hamilton Cemetery on Caney Ridge.
