Coeburn, VA ~ Robert Vincent Ward, 64 passed away Saturday, February 1, 2020 at his residence in Coeburn, Virginia.He was a retired coal miner.He was the son of the late Rev. Hasting Alexander Ward and Ruby Amagene Bond Ward, also preceded in death by his wife of 39 years, Gwendolyn Meade Ward, sister, Regena Rhena Paige, and brother, Anthony Ward.Survivors include a daughter, Amber Gilbert, Coeburn, sons, Nathan Ward, Coeburn, Anthony Ward, Lebanon; three brothers, David (Rita) Ward, Harlan (Lois) Ward, and Wendell Ward, all of St. Paul; 4 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Robert Vincent Ward will be held on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at 7:00 PM at Estes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Stacy Vanover officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday after 6:00 P.M. at Estes Funeral Home until service time. Burial will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at Robert & Gwen Ward Cemetery on Sandy Ridge. The family will meet at the funeral home at 12 noon and leave in procession.Arrangements by Estes Funeral Home, 114 High Ave., Coeburn, VA.
