Roger Lynn Bright, 82, of Coeburn, VA entered into rest Tuesday morning, December 20, 2022 at his residence after a period of declining health.

Born in Coeburn, VA, he was a son of the late Thomas and Margaret (Edwards) Bright. He was a retired heavy equipment operator for the mining industry and was a veteran of the US Army.

In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ann Bright .

Survivors include his sons, Arthur Bright, Edward Bright and Eric and wife Kelly Bright all of Coeburn, VA; daughter, Anninita McConnell and husband, Michael of Coeburn, VA; brothers, Tommy N. Bright of Coeburn, VA and Jeffrey Randall Bright of Big Stone Gap, VA; grandchildren, Roger Lee McConnell, Kristy Salyers, Robert Bright, Kayla Richards, Cory McConnell, Justin Bright, Tiffany Robinson, Lillian Bright, John Bright, Kimberly Plaster, and Christine Currier; 13 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 21, 2022, from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Estes Funeral Home.  Funeral Service will be 10:00 am Thursday, December 22, 2022, in the Estes Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. RL Crawford officiating.  Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Coeburn, VA
