Pound, VA ~ Rose Lawson Hubbard, 93 died Friday, August 14, 2009 at her residence in Pound Virginia after a battle with cancer.
Rose loved and faithfully attended the Old Regular Baptist Church.
She was the daughter of the late William Henry Lawson, Sr. andthe late Orba Tabitha Lawson; Also preceded in death by her husband, Arlie Hubbard; brothers, Troy, Joe, and Cecil Lawson; sisters, Maxie Lawson Isaccs, Malla Lawson and Ruth Lawson Belcher and a beloved son-in-law, Dale E. Rose.
Survivors include one daughter, Rowan Rose, Pound; one son, Roy Hubbard and wife, Janis, Jonesboro, TN; TwoSisters, Shirley Goff, St. Paul and Inez Holbrook, Coeburn; one brother, Henry Lawson Jr., St. Paul; 4 grandchildren, Myra Lynn Davis and husband, Jeff, Brian Hubbard, Shelly Chandler and husband Shawn, Brent Hubbard and wife, Michelle; 4 great grandsons and two great granddaughters; Several nieces , nephews, and a host of relatives and friends who will miss her kind and gentle ways. We feel our loss is Heaven's gain.

Funeral services for Rose Hubbard will be held on Sunday August 16, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Estes Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Earl Dean Yates, Elder Ron Hensley and Elder Walter Rose officiating. Burial will follow at Jerry & Lydia Lawson Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday after 6:00 P.M. and song service at 7:00 P.M. Arrangements by Estes Funeral Home, Coeburn, VA.
