Rose Mary (Skeen) Sturgill, 85, entered into rest Sunday, July 30, 2023 at The Laurels Retirement & Assisted Living Center.

Born in St. Paul, VA, she was a retired educator with the public school system and was preceded in death by her parents, James Uriah Skeen & Sarah Eliza Riner; husband, Bud McCoy; brother, Howard Skeen; and sister, Francis Meade.

Survivors include, a son, James McCoy of Sevierville, TN; grandson, Richard Austin McCoy of Knoxville, TN; nephew, Harold Meade; niece, Myra Sullivan.

Visitation will be Wednesday (August 2, 2023) 12:00 - 1:00 PM at Estes Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Jay Ledbetter officiating.  Committal services will follow at Temple Hill Memorial Gardens in Castlewood, VA.
