Rosie Powers Mullins, of Route 2, Caney Ridge Road, Coeburn, VA,
passed away November 9th, 2007, at Dickenson Community Hospital,
Clintwood, VA.
Mrs. Mullins is the widow of Cleophus Mullins, and daughter of the late Preston & Victoria Powers.
Mrs. Mullins was a member of Pine Grove Freewill Baptist Church, Coeburn, Va. She was an avid gardener of both vegetables and flowers, and enjoyed being outside.
She was preceded in death by brothers Stewart Powers, Aubrey Lee Powers, and Joshua Powers, and sisters Joan Barker, Mildred Knuff, and Margaret Rink.
Mrs. Mullins is survived by her three children, Jack Tickles, Amaly Lee Powers, and Jean Boehmer; one brother,James Powers, and sisters Margie Sluss and Edra Burke; seven grandchildren, Brenda McElrath Freeman & Jacqueline Tickles Hines, Michael Dotson, Wiley Powers, Jr. & Ira Clay Powers, Dennis & Damon Boehmer; five great-grandchildren, Jami McElrath Scott, Lorianne McElrath Dunning, Jacob Powers & Kailene Powers Szekey, Juergen, Sebastian, Emma and Daric Boehmer, and great-great granddaughter, Lindsey Szekey, and great-great grandson Samuel Dunning.

Viewing will be held at Estes Funeral Home in Coeburn, Va from 6 p.m. 8 p.m. on Monday, November 12th, 2007, with services at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 13th, and burial will follow in the Rugsby Chapel Church on Caney Ridge. Pallbearers will be Wiley Powers, Jr., Steve Barker, Jacob Powers, Michael Dotson, Dennis and Damon Boehmer.
