Coeburn, VA ~ Ruth Gladys Caldwell, 80, died Thursday, March 2, 2000 at Norton Community Hospital in Norton, Virginia.
Mrs. Caldwell was a lifelong resident of Bondtown and was of the Baptist Faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband Roy Caldwell, her parents, Edward and Hettie Hale Steele, 2 brothers, Charles Steele & John Steele, 1 sister, Eva Steele.
Survivors include: 2 sons, Elmer Caldwell, Abingdon, Ronnie Caldwell and Earnest "Ernie" Caldwell both of Coeburn; 4 daughters, Betty Brown, Wilson, NC, Judy Maine, Wise, Glenna Hicks, Coeburn, Donna McDilda, Blountyille, TN; 2 brothers, Hubert Steele, Castlewood and Bobby Steele, Bristol, TN; 3 sisters, Edna James and Pauline Owens, both of Coeburn and Clara Proulex, Abingdon; 19 Grandchildren, 34 Great Grandchildren, several nephews, several nieces.
Visitation and Funeral services for Ruth Gladys Caldwell, will be held Saturday, March 4, 2000 at Estes Funeral Home Chapel where the family will receive friends after 6:00 P.M. and funeral services will be held at 7:30 P.M. Rev. Allen Shupe will be officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Memorial Gardens in Coeburn, Sunday at 2:00 P.M.
