Coeburn, VA ~ Samuel "Sam" Woodrow Skeens, 75 passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at Mountain View Medical Center in Norton Virginia.
He was a retired employee of Clinchfield Coal Co. and a member of UMWA.
He was the son of the late Harley James Skeens and LaVerne Blanton Skeens; also proceeded in death by his wife, Mary Fannon Skeens; two brothers, Ronnie Skeens, and Billy Skeens.
Survivors include sons, Scottie Skeens and wife, Debbie and Randy Skeens, and wife, Lanetta, all of Coeburn; two sisters, Loretta C. Graham, Blountville, TN and Judith A. Rimel, New Market, VA; grandchildren, Katelyn, Amanda, Anthony, Josh, and Melissa and Jonathan Carico; great grandchildren, Savannah, Harley, Dylan, Jolie, Landry, Zoey and Braydon.

Visitation for Samuel Woodrow Skeens will be held on Friday,June 28, 2013 after 6:00 P.M. at Estes Funeral Home Chapel and funeral services will be at 7:00 PM with Rev. R. L. Crawford officiating.
