Shirley Temple Salyers, 82, of Coeburn, VA, went home to be with her lord and savior on Saturday, July 8,2023. She was born on November 17, 1940, in Dickenson County, VA, to the late Ora and Vickie McCoy. She loved her family, kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. She made it a point to make her home a home to everyone. She always had a cup of coffee ready for anyone who was there to visit. One of her last words to her family was "I got saved last night". She was an incredibly strong, loving, kind, and giving woman of God, to know her was to love her.

Along with her parents, Ora and Vickie McCoy, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Ervin Salyers, as well as several brothers and sisters.

She leaves behind to cherish her love and kind memories her children, Anita Salyers, Bernice (Curtis) Adkins, Teresa Gibson, Curtis Salyers, Diana (Rex) Harvey, Lila (Randy) Hensley, Donald (Tracey) Salyers, Ernest Salyers, Billy Salyers, and Angela Powers; Her brothers Gene McCoy and Jonas McCoy; Sisters, Barbara McCoy and Carrie McCoy; as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

The Family will receive friends on Wednesday July 12, 2023, from 2:00- 4:00 PM at Estes Funeral Home in Coeburn for the visitation. The Funeral service will be conducted following in the funeral homes chapel with Pastor Willie Stanley officiating. Burial will follow at Hampton-Salyers Cemetery in Sandy Ridge.
