Shirley Mae Salyers, age 87, of Coeburn, VA, entered eternal rest on March 2, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Shirley was the matriarch of her family and enjoyed being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.  She attended Riverside Church of God.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Belvia Horne, her loving husband of 44 years, Cecil Salyers; brothers, Bud Horne and Vernard Harvey; sisters, Nancy Salyers and Marie Cole; and granddaughter, Robin Salyers.

She is survived by her children, Phyllis (Lee) Hall, Rob Salyers, and Rhonda (Jeff) Ringley; sister, Helen Couch; her grandchildren, Teresa (Keith) Mutter, Kristie (Jason) Porter, and Carissa (Cody) Fletcher; 12 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Pallbearers will be Cody Fletcher, Hunter Porter, Logan Porter, Matthew Varble, Duke Burke, Robert Salyers, Noah Rose, and Tim Culbertson.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 5th from 1:00-2:00 PM at Estes Funeral Home in Coeburn. Funeral Service will begin at 2:00 in the funeral home chapel with Jason Porter officiating.  Graveside service will follow at Greenwood Acres Cemetery.
