Coeburn, VA ~ Steven Ray Walker, Sr. 67 passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at Mountain View Medical Center in Norton Virginia.
He was a veteran and served with the U.S. Air Force.
He received a heart transplant in July 1998 at Vanderbuilt Hospital in Nashville, TN.
He was the son of the late John Henry Walker andthe late AlmaWalker; also preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy Joiner; a sister, Agatha Walker and a brother, James Walker.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Renfro Walker, Coeburn; a son, Steven Walker Jr. and wife Allison, Knoxville, TN; a daughter, Tina Walker Rowe, Appalachia; twobrothers, Edward 'Jay' Walker , New Market, AL and Lloyd Walker, Navarre, FL; five grandsons Shane, Brandon, Bobby Lee II, Jacob and Ethan; two granddaughters Zoe and Cheyenne; seven sisters, Jean, Margaret, Mae, Gail, Vicky, Brenda and Donna and husbands; sister-in-law, Glenna Brooks; brother-in-law, Harold Markham; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. Visitation for StevenWalker will be held after 12 noon on Saturday November 3, 2012 at Estes Funeral Home Chapel and funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM with Rev. D.J. Couch officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Acres Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Estes Funeral Home, Coeburn, VA.
