Susie Mae Buchanan, age 81, of Coeburn died at her home on Friday, July 9, 2021

Susie was preceded in death by her parents Olga and Thomas Smith, her late husband Thomas Jackson Sr., great-grandson Brantley, several brothers, and a sister.


She is survived by her husband William Buchanan; sons, Thomas Jackson and wife Connie, Warren Jackson, David Jackson and wife Christine, Daniel Jackson and wife Trish; step-children, Roda Rose and husband Paul, Louise Reid and Husband Rick, Iris White and husband Sam; brothers, Jim Smith, Johnny Smith and Wife Rachel, Rocky Smith and wife Roseanne, Sammy Smith; sisters, Ada Zurface, Mary Bond; grandkids, Nick Jackson and wife Jennifer, Josh Jackson and wife Randi, Logan Jackson and wife Lisa, Tanner Jackson, Taiden Jackson, Toby Jackson, Kasi Johnson and husband Daniel, Letcher Jackson and wife Kandace, Daniel Jackson and wife Hannah; several step-grandchildren; great grandchildren, Temperence, Teagan, Slate, Isaiah, Presley, Kaleb, Abi, Autumn, Ayden, Keeley, Kiera; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Estes Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held at Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Estes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Lawson officiating.


Burial will follow in the Greenwood Acres Cemetery in Coeburn.
