She was born, Nov. 29, 1937 in Aurora, Illinois and lived in the Coeburn area since 1973 and with her son in Kingsport for the past 5 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Louise Marzuki; husband, Louie C. Edwards; Two Sisters, Gloria Koch and Delores Taylor; One Brother, Henry Marzuki.
Survivors include, Son, Brent Edwards, and wife, Jennette, Kingsport, TN; Two Granddaughters, Audrey and Andrea Edwards, Kingsport; Sister, Carole Kinney, and husband, Wilfred, Wisconsin; Brother, Everett (Dee Taylor) Marzuki and sister-in-law, Laurali, Aurora, IL; 4 nephews, 2 nieces, 7 great nephews and 4 great nieces; One Special Friend, Dine Mullins, Coeburn, VA.

Visitation for Sylvia Jean Edwards will be held on Monday, March 1, 2010 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Estes Funeral Home Chapel and funeral services will be held at 7:00 PM with Rev. Clifford Bevins officiating. Burial will be private at Calvin Edwards Cemetery. Arrangements by Estes Funeral Home, Coeburn, VA.
