Coeburn, VA ~ Vernard James Harvey, 73, died Sunday, March 10, 2002 at his residence in Coeburn, Virginia.
Survivors include his wife, Julie "Judy" Harvey; 3 sons, Kenneth J. Harvey, Lebanon, Larry Harvey, Coeburn & Ray Harvey, Wise; 2 daughters, Dorothy Carter, Rita Venable, Martinsville; 1 brother, Gilmer Buddy Horne, Coeburn; 3 sisters, Shirley Salyers, Marie Cole and Helen Couch all of Coeburn; a special sister, Gladys Hamilton, Sandusky, OH; 3 daughters-in-law, Jane, Cathy & Edna Harvey; 11 grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren and several nephews & several nieces.

Funeral services for Vernard James Harvey will be held Wednesday, March 13, 2002 at 2:00 P.M. at Pine Camp Church of God of Prophecy with Rev. Curtis Bond & Rev. Charlie Couch officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Memorial Gardens in Coeburn. Visitation will be held at Estes Funeral Home on Tuesday after 6:00 P.M.
